And if so, details! Venue, ceremony site, ceremony music, invitations, reception band/music, photographer, videographer, bride's attire (including shoes), groom's attire, bride's whole ring set, groom's ring, florist/bouquet, wedding cake, transportation, favors, rehearsal dinner, officiant,...

And if so, details!

Venue, ceremony site, ceremony music, invitations, reception band/music, photographer, videographer, bride's attire (including shoes), groom's attire, bride's whole ring set, groom's ring, florist/bouquet, wedding cake, transportation, favors, rehearsal dinner, officiant, catering, wedding day beauty things, honeymoon, and all the little things like the small decorations. Yes, we skipped some because we didn't think it was necessary as we felt we did a lot for our guests to make them happy.

For me so far, I think I can handle $10,000 (but hopefully cheaper, but can get a personal loan if we need to).

1. Venue and Ceremony will be at same place- our house and also not to mention about 40 people. For renting chairs and tables- $260.50

2. Ceremony and Reception music- $0, we will be doing that on our own with our laptop with speakers

3, Invitations- ? just need stamps, which I don't know ? I'm also just throwing the rsvps in there just because and will send another reminder; I mean, we decided to get married in June.

4. photographer/officiant (who happens to be officiant)-good friend!- $300

5. My outfit- have no idea- ???

6. His- $0- his dad's

7. my ring- I wanted a bridal set and I did not want an expensive one because I tend to break things and I don't know how that $2000 ring and breaking and losing it works...I mean that's a lot of money to lose. My ring is from kohls. I think like $100. Was $200 because it was on sale!

8. His ring- also from kohl's (we also got good deals), $32! lol! Was 100.

9. florist/bouquet- not sure if it's required?- $0

10. wedding cake- we are second guessing this, but we want a cheesecake wedding cake, and got a quote for $215. We may still get it haha. Yum.

11. transportation- ?confused by this one? a sober driver?

12. place for people to stay- a hotel or a big house to rent for a few days.

13. food or catering- ??? struggle with this one, but picnic style, have no clue of cost and same with booze

14. favors-? don't know. I feel like we did a lot of work lol.

15. rehearsal dinner- no- $0

16. wedding day beauty- thinking $0

17. wedding certificate- $85

18. honeymoon- $1500 (rough guess)

*little things...not sure

so far... $2492 and I know more to come!

I did A LOT of Diy (photobooth, signs, etc)
And used a lot of things i already had at home. (I’m an artist) but you could use anything! Research and definitely use your creativity.

I had a backyard style wedding and I got a venue that was under “intimate wedding venues” i found online and it was PERFECT!
We also asked people to help us pay for our honeymoon and we were so grateful for thatbecause we didn’t have to pay much out of our pockets.
Plan ahead to weigh options (and prices) without feeling rushed.
Simple is always better When trying to keep the price low. There’s savings in simplicity. lol

Same here!!!! I'm police and my fiance is military and we are trying to squeeze this budget to the maxxxxxx!!!! Sometimes it seems very difficult then other days it seems to just all work out. I cannot wait for April to be here! Basically decide where you want to cut corners and where you want to splurge! I thought i needed 3,000 for a wedding dress when I found mine for 1,000! We also have our parents chipping in here and there! We decided on bundt cakes vs a full cake and a bbq buffet vs a sit down dinner. Its all about compromise and choices!

YES! FH and I are paying for everything, and every penny counts... We are planning and having the wedding with only 7 months of planning, and I do think that part might have been a mistake... Having a longer engagement would have given us more time to prepare financially, but here we are. We are definitely making it work with hours of OT and being frugal on the weekends. I know it'll be worth it in the end. $10K is a HARD budget for us, so we're doing our best to stay under it. (As are the rest of us, right?) Here's a bit of a break down. We are now 98 days away from our dream wedding Smiley heart

    1. Venue and Ceremony will be at same place - Hard Rock Hotel! We went with this venue because of the "package deal" that we got which includes 2 venues, 1 for ceremony & 1 for reception. PLUS indoor venues if it rains (Lord Jesus, please don't...) AND other venues to choose from. They also include catering, bar, wedding cake (3 tiers), set up/tear down, linens, wedding planner & day of coordinator. This is coming out to about $5K.

    2. Ceremony and Reception music - $0 for us as well, I'll be making a playlist and plugging it in on my phone. Smiley smile

3, Invitations - $80! I feel like we did great. I also spent about $20 on a wax seal kit to add some personal touches. (Basic Invite w/ 30% off through our photographer.)

    4. Photographer - $1200 for 5 hours of coverage. Might be adding more, but this is a big part of the budget, and it's easy to get carried away.

    5. Officiant - Family friend, so $0

    6. My dress - $1600 // I am paying for this myself, and FH is not contributing so I don't add this to the overall $10K, but I obviously count that towards my personal budget.

    7. His tux - He still hasn't picked one... TBD.

    8. Our rings - My whole set was on super sale, he snagged it for $500. I am looking to purchase his ASAP, but $500 is my budget for his as well.

    9. Floral arrangements - DIY through Fifty Flowers. CANNOT recommend them enough. Thought I haven't put the flowers together yet, I'll be doing that about 72 hours before the wedding, I cannot get over how wonderful the process was picking out flowers with a consultant, and making the purchase was a breeze. Overall, I am spending $900. (HUGE bridal bouquet, 4 boutonnieres, 4 aisle pieces/table center pieces, and extras for cake & guestbook table.)

    10. Wedding cake - Included in package!

    11. Transportation - None! Local wedding, and we are not doing a grand exit.

    12. Place for people to stay - We have a hotel block at the Hard Rock.

    13. Food/Catering/Bar - Included!

    14. Favors - Might be skipping this to save money. I did think about "recycling" the flowers and making mini bouquets out of the flowers in the days after the wedding. The motto at HRH is "Love all. Serve all. Save the planet." so I feel like that will tie in really well!

    15. Rehearsal Dinner - TBD. Might skip as well.

    16. Wedding day Hair/Make Up - Done by yours truly! I might splurge on nice foundation/mascara, but that won't run me more than $100 if I do that.

    17. Wedding certificate - I haven't looked yet! Shame on me... I'm going to go with PP saying it's $85.

    18. Honeymoon - Night of wedding we are staying at our wedding venue's hotel for $595. Big Honeymoon will come later. Smiley smile

Just to rack it all up: $7880 not including what we are paying for separately. (I.e. our wedding day attire, and each other's rings.)

I think if you both put your heads together you can keep the cost down I am aiming for a 4-5 K wedding. The ceremony space is my aunts lodge in the woods beside a beautiful pond - keeping the ceremony small and private. 0$ for ceremony space. flowers and bouquets bought on amazon est cost 70$. They were cheap! the bridesmaid dresses were bought on www.gcgme.com they were a great price. Our reception of about 200 people will be held at the fire hall, they have chairs and tables. he is a firefighter and there in no fee to use the space 0$, one of my girlfriends works at a collage and is letting her borrow linens as long as we wash and iron them before returning. The hall has a huge kitchen we are having buffet style I am going to make the food the day before with all my friends. food est cost 1k. No cake I am having a chocolate peanut butter desert bar, est cost 300$ DJ we found one here for 600$ hair and makeup for the squad 300$, Pictures being taken by my cousin for 100$ she is an amazing photographer. Men attire they are buying khakis for pants and will also buy a wight long sleeve shirt, I will be purchasing the vest for them 27$ on amazon so 130$ for all. We are building a house and I have recently bought our decor to match our wedding theme I will be using them as center pieces so nothing will go to waste I am not including that in price. However all hobby Lobby stuff on 75% clearance because I bought at Christmas time and its beach stuff. 250$ , Drove to Virginia because a bridal store went out of business and donated all items to goodwill. I bought 2 brand new wedding dresses for 9.99$ each. tags and all of them till on it and no stains or rips. My ring was bought 4 years ago and due to his profession a cheap ring of 50$ was purchased for dress me up occasions its brass and wood, he is an outdoors man however a couple silicone ones were purchased for everyday wear. I have not hit 3k yet but I am sure I will be in the mid 4k range when I am done.

We aimed for 10k. I'm pretty crafty and got Sola Wood flowers and making all the arrangements myself. Plus we have good friends that can officiate, MC, hair, make up. The catering is whats expensive for us unfortunately. I am absolutely in love with our venue and we got it for $3000. Everyone tells me I will have to sacrifice things that i actually really want but so far i have found things for cheap. After the holidays I am going to start working on centerpieces
