Any Dusty Blue Brides?

C L, on February 14, 2019 at 11:07 PM Posted in Planning 0 19
Is anyone having Dusty Blue in their wedding color palette? What parts of your wedding will be blue ? I’m having trouble incorporating the blue in decoration. Does anyone have ideas ! Pictures would be awesome too 😜

I put some lighter blue in my centerpieces I made (1st pic). I would love to do some blue candles and runners since my table cloths will be ivory.

I’m not going with that shade but we are including blue as runners, chair sashes, and napkins, for origami flowers, as color for signs, in my dress, 1/2 the bridesmaids dresses, all females shoes, and we will wear blue cloaks

I think the pps posts with candles is cool and you can probably find blue printed tableware if you speak to caterer or are willing to use disposable and centerpieces are always a great place to bring in your color scheme

i hope ww helps you find your perfect idea

I used a kind of dusty blue. I used it for the linen napkins and the groomsmand vests.

I am doing a darker dusty blue/denim. It's only gonna be in the girl's dresses, the guy's vests, and napkins. I am using it in STDs and invites too. Everything else is my floral colors that compliment (with some blue thistle in the florals). I want to do something like this for decorating a wall so maybe I can put the blue in there!

My colors are steele blue and peach with ivory. The girls will be in the blue dresses and carry blue/peach/ivory flowers. It's a hard color to really find the right shade of blue so I decided to use it more of an accent for anything other than the dresses. My main colors for the reception are the peach and ivory. My cake will have blue on it, but other than that - there may not be much of it at the reception.

Yes that’s kind of what we’re going for! Focusing more on the gold and then tiny touches of blue so far. But I feel like it’s not enough blue 😫

My bridesmaids were dusty blue! I also had dusty blue napkins on the tables (light gray tablecloths), and I got some slate colored chalk paint from michaels and basically threw it on anything I could find 🤣— signage, buoys (had a little nautical vibe going on), metal buckets for flowers

pics— girls, tables, random decor and signage, flower bucket sample with bonus puppy haha. Probably can’t tell from the pic but I wrapped the bouquet stems in dusty blue ribbon as well.

I looked for some of the blue for vinyl to make signs with not much luck. It's a little hard to find the matching blue. I may try to either mix paints or find something close and paint a few things to give it a little more blue. I'm using ivory with some burlap on my tables and I'll put some of the same flowers in a jar for the centerpiece. It's not a lot of blue, but it's some to tie it together. Honestly, I highly doubt anyone will notice. I saw earlier someone was doing certain colors for their ceremony then different colors for the reception. It's all about what YOU want.

While some of our décor will have reds and greens during our holiday wedding, they're subtle touches.

I plan on using a dusty blue for our attire so as to pop amongst the darker colors.

I'm doing a combination of dusty blue, peach, and mauve as a color palette. The bridesmaids will be wearing blue and they seem excited about their dresses.

We're incorporating dusty blue either in the groomsmen suits or undershirts and boutonniers, in my bridal bouquet and centerpieces with dusty miller, and the up-lighting in reception room.

Our colors are dusty blue and cranberry. I didn't realize I picked probably one of the hardest colors to find! But I started by doing dusty blue bridesmaid dresses from the Bill Levkoff line in "slate". I also wanted to do dusty blue accents with a lot of my tables. I bought cheesecloth in bulk and dyed all of it myself to achieve the color I wanted. I also am doing mostly greenery and thistle in all of my centerpieces along with using antique blue mason jars for accent pieces as well. I have dusty blue tulle for my arch. A lot of my signage I have made I used white backgrounds with dusty blue vinyl. Overall, I wanted the dusty blue, but not an overwhelming amount. Just accents so everything was balanced. I think everything has come out nicely so far!
