Any December 2018 Brides ?

Dec 29th! I already have a venue and photographer booked.

I'm November 30, 2018 so super close to December! I already have the venue, DJ, photographer, and ceremony location booked. I started looking for my venue in May, right after I got engaged. If you want any pricing for winter 2018 weddings (depending on where you are looking/what style you are looking for) let me know!

@Larissa wow you have so many thing checked off already. what kind of wedding are you planning to have? im from norther nj, hbu?

I'm 12/1! We have our venue and photographer booked. My dress is ordered. We already know who we want for our caterer and florist but haven't officially booked yet. We started looking at things before we got engaged so we already kinda knew who/what we wanted.

@Karen I'm in Northern NJ as well! We were going to be wedding planing and buying a house at the same time so I wanted to get as much done as i could as soon as I could. My wedding will be a more formal wedding. I'm having my reception at the Tides Estate in North Haledon. I also looked at The Park Savoy, The Rockleigh, The Manor, The Grove, Mayfair Farms, The Olde Mill Inn and The Palace at Somerset. If you are interested in any of those, let me know and I can give you the pricing I got from each for that time period!

I'm a 1/8/19 bride, close enough! I'm having a DW wedding. I am using 1 vendor that is a one stop shop (paid deposit), I also bought my dress already. I think it is safe to say I am a planner! lol. Although it is still so far away I am less stressed that I have the big items taken care of and now I can slowly focus on the little stuff. Congrats and enjoy wedding planning.

Hey @Larissa , how did you like The Grove, The Manor, and The Park Savoy? Were their pricing a lot? I toured the Tides and it was beautiful, but their larger room was too expensive for us haha, trying to keep within our budget.

I am thinking 12/20 - it's a Thursday but going into Christmas weekend - and A LOT CHEAPER! I like the idea that my family from out of town will already be here anyway so less hassle, but the only problem right now is the church (I'm Catholic). The secretary was very nasty when I called and scolded me for even considering a date for my big day because I had not spoken to the church beforehand. I have a beautiful venue in place and available, but only thing holding me back is the church. Anyone else with this problem?

@Abby have you tried searching chapels? Since my FH is catholic and im pentecostal, our priests cannot marry us so we searched for chapels. maybe you can look for university chapels?

Congratulations on your engagement!!!! I am getting married December 7th, 2018 in Julian, CA. So far I have booked my venue which also includes catering, and I have gotten my decorations. Since it is in December my theme is Winter Wonderland. I got my decorations early due to all the Christmas/ Winter decorations being available now. So happy for you! I imagine I will feel really relieved once the venue is decided. I think we want it to be a little bit Christmas-y, but not too much. Probably lots of burgundy and gold. How about you??

We asked about off season prices and usually on their websites they have specials where the per person cost is lower. but you will have to ask them. Also we went a couple times to the venue and we told them if we can take anything out to fit in our budget, she was nice enough to lower the price pp. but this was not including open bar.
