I am not, but he is taller by only a few inches, so I was thinking flats originally. BUT I found these beautiful heels today, so I will be wearing those and be just about his height.

If he stands straight up and is in shoes with thicker soles than mine, he's taller. lol. I am wearing flats. i don't really want to have to bend down for our kiss. And I hate heels!

I'm not taller but we're close in height. I'm wearing flats! I read somewhere that this was a no-no. I'm not sure why really, but the article continued with talking about walking with more elegance in heels. Whatevs! I walk much better in flats than heels and no one will see my shoes anyway!

I am half an inch taller, and he hates it. We went and shopped for dress shoes for him that are on the higher side. I am definitely wearing flats...very flat flats.

This marriage, I didn't have a groom. But my first one, I was taller than the groom. What I wore didn't have much of a heel, but it had at least some. My view was that a) flats weren't going to stop me from being taller, and b) being taller wasn't a problem anyway. I have no idea why people think the bride has to be shorter--seems like a relic of an era in which she was also supposed to be less intelligent, less well educated, weaker, paid less, etc.

Yeah i dunno he offered to wear lifts which was appealing at first thought but then i thought a) I'm agreeing to marry him I should accept him as is and b) it doesn't matter. So I told him not to, I'll wear flats cuz that's what I'm comfortable in and I love to dance

He is 5'7" and I'm 5'5"- so pretty close. I'm wearing flip flops for the ceremony and 6 inchers for photos.

I recently went to a wedding were the Bride is taller than the Groom and wore heels. It was obvious but didn't really matter.

IMO, people who know you know that you are taller then FH. So it's not like they'll be surprised when your standing next to him. I'd go with shoes your comfy with.

I'm a smidge taller. FH is wearing cowboy boots and I'm wearing flats so he will be taller. I never wear heels, seeing as I'm already 5'9", so I want to be comfy. Do whatever you feel comfortable with!

We are the exact same height when both barefoot. I am wearing heels. I am a master at the knee pop though.

See? I was wearing three inch heels in this picture making me three inches taller. But you wouldn't know that from this picture.

I'm 5'9" and he is 5'10", so we are close. I am wearing flats because that's what I prefer anyway. Although, they do have a tiny bit of heel to them, so we may end up about the same height, which is no problem

I'm 1-2 inches taller than my FH and I'm wearing flats. I haven't ever been a heels person and I haven't had to wear heels since I'm already taller so I never have to kill my feet. I've heard that you shouldn't change your height too much compared to what you're used to. So if you've never worn a 5 inch heel around your FH then it's probably not a good time to do so on your wedding day. Things will just feel awkward. We're comfortable with our height difference so we we'll keep it that way! Don't want to tower over him!

Why would you say that? That's so rude and you don't even realize it.

I'm like an inch shorter and I'd wear heels if I could, but I have really weak knees so flats will suffice. My fiance likes me in heels, even though they make me taller than him, it doesn't really bother him. If it did, I wouldn't wear them for the wedding because I want both of us to feel our best for photos and if a different type of shoe is all it takes, why not?
I feel like if you're already taller, adding more height wouldn't be an issue though??

    My groom is 5’4 and I’m 5’10.

Flats will do nothing over here!😂 We are in love and don’t care what people think.

We both contribute to our height difference. The difference is in the length of our legs. So when seated, we look the same height. We fell in love and we can’t change our height. He’s also the most Burley, confident, kind, loving and caring man I’ve ever met and my heart and person feels safe with him, not because of stature, but because of his character and I know that he loves me and will do anything to protect me from danger. I’m not letting him go because of some social norms. I found a whole bunch of love in a small package and he found a whole lot of love in this leggy woman😍. We hope that when people see us In public that they will think twice about letting things like height deter them from a relationship that could be everything they are looking for.

I'm six foot tall in flats to my fiancee's 5'10". I am wearing flats but not for any sort of self consciousness issue on either of our parts about me being taller than him. It's just that, quite honestly, I never learned how to walk properly in heels and I just don't feel comfortable. The last thing I want on my wedding day is to roll my ankle wearing shoes I don't know how to navigate in while also in a combersome wedding dress 😂
