My fiancé and I have just scheduled ourselves another cake tasting appointment in early June! We are taking another trip back to Santa Cruz for a 3-night stay at our venue once again and we couldn’t be more excited to squeeze this in!
We decided to contact a bakery that was recommended to us by our venue (the last baker we consulted was not on their list) called The Buttery! So far, I have to say that I’m really impressed with their prompt replies and extremely reasonable prices (we are still wanting a 7”, 9”, and 12” 3-tiered cake). Everything including the size of our cake, delivery, and design will be less than $1,000 which we are really pleased with.
We will be picking up a to-go cake sampler tray which will have all of their best flavors, but we are leaning towards carrot cake, red velvet, and lemon poppyseed as first choices this time around. It will be interesting to compare how these ones taste compared to the ones from our last tasting (two of the flavors are the same, so that will make it even more interesting). Overall, we are really excited! They are also willing to do a classic cake look with some decorative chocolate seashells for decoration (like the picture)! I plan to find our own cake topper on Etsy down the road... 😁 anyways, I am relieved and excited to have another bakery in contention for our wedding cake! Stay tuned!
