Anonymous Gifts/mystery Senders

Cathy, on August 19, 2019 at 7:24 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
My fiancé and I are registered with MyRegistry.com. Twice now, we have received gifts off that registry but we have no idea who sent them. There was no gift card or note in the package either. I don’t want to be rude and looks like I am not acknowledging the gift. Does anybody have any ideas on how to find out who these anonymous gift were from? Or what is the best way to thanking anonymous giver?

Worst case, you may have to wait until after the wedding to play "process of elimination".

It'd be weird to start calling up everyone asking if they sent any gift, I'd find it totally weird to receive such a call. So yes, process of elimination is probably the only and best way. Get your detective hat ready!

Call the company and ask who paid for it

I did contact them. They told me that since the gift was purchased through Amazon, Amazon requires purchasers to use their own account, and therefore the information of who purchased the gift could not be released.

We used them too!! Our wedding was last Saturday the 17th. And the next day the site lets you finally see who purchased what!
