Hi All,

I am BEYOND ecstatic and I just wanted to share my experience thus far. I am one step closer to getting my custom dress made. Anomalie sent me my custom sketch of my dress and lace options through my profile which I already approved. The next step was to receive the fabric for my dress which was contained in my fabric sample box that I received last night. I just opened it a little bit ago and already approved the fabrics through my profile.

They also included an Anomalie measuring tape, suggested shoe store pamphlet, gummy bears (which I'm probably not even going to touch because they were in the mail for so long) AND they even included a swatch for the groom. My ENTIRE experience with Anomalie has been over the top amazing and I'm so excited in continuing this process!

Okay! So, to give you some quick background on my mom and sister... my mom is a self taught seamstress with 50 years of experience, my sister graduated from Rutgers with a degree in Costume Design and spent a semester learning garment construction at the Globe Theater in London. They both said the dress is BEAUTIFUL, VERY well made. There are 9 layers!! The tulle/illusion mesh overlay with the lace sewn on it (that's 2 layers in itself), two more layers of tulle, the base dress layer(satin?), 3 layers of a crinoline, and two more layers of satin. It's an A-line silhouette, with a scallop trim. The lace is sewn on with "invisible thread" and it's very secure! I give this a 10/10! My only complaint is that my sleeves were supposed to be longer (3/4) since my wedding is in the winter, but they're more half sleeves (to my elbow). They already give you extra lace so my mom is going to figure out a way to lengthen the sleeves for me. I absolutely plan of losing some inches and my mom isn't too worried about altering it, it will be work but anything well made would be a lot of work. Most, if not all wedding gowns, have to be altered and I think Anomalie gives room for that. They add an inch or two just in case. It's much easier to take things in than it is to take it out. I believe they also leave extra fabric in the seam incase you do need to take it out a little. I highly recommend them for those who may be following this thread but unsure of whether they'd like to use them or not.

I believe it was in production for 3 weeks, which is nuts! Not sure why it was done so quickly, but the quality is great!

That's definitely what scared me because mine was in production for a month! I was like yea, I have time to pay it off and then I got the email saying it was finished and I'm like thanks. Bad timing so I can't get it until I pay it off and their on me to do it by next month Smiley amazing

Wow really?? I didn’t even know they could do that. I was under the impression that I had to pay for my dress in full before they would put it into production. They never said I could wait. It would have been so much better for our finances if they let me wait another month or so.

They told me I would make a down payment for them to start production which I did and now suddenly they're done and I'm like weeeelllll....can't really do much right now so it's being held hostage. Idk if I can just keep making payments or if I have to pay the remaining balance all at once.

Oh wow! Yeah I’m not sure. Maybe you can ask your stylist if they’d be willing to take payments?

Wouldn't make too much of a difference since I have until next month being that they already finished it. My FH said he's willing to help me pay with whatever he can so I'm grateful for that. I guess we'll see how it goes.
