Hello! I've been detailing my experience with Anomalie since I struggled to find info when I first decided to use Anomalie. This will be the second to last part and the next part will include pictures of the dress and my overall thoughts!
This was back on April 4th where I started taking the next steps. I had to confirm all of my fabrics, send in my measurements, and make my final payments.
Starting with fabrics! Here is what I chose:
First, I had to confirm my laces. This took me a long time. I was really picky on lace when trying on dresses in store, so I knew I needed it right. I wanted something very floral. My decision was aided by asking my stylist for some extra pictures and combinations! Finally I chose my two laces: the sheet lace for underneath, and the applique for the main lace!
Next, I had to do fabrics. Having the tulle and mesh samples really helped me. I chose the barely there mesh by taking it out in the sun and really holding it up to me. I decided to also go with the lighter of the two colors instead of the darker so it would match better. I literally held it up and took pictures which really helped.
For the tulle, I wanted an off white. I liked the vintage rose, but was worried it was too dark for my light skin tone. So I was between Bellini and Champagne Bubbles. I ultimately made my decision by having my stylist send more pictures and also matching it to the pearl necklace my late Grandmother got me! Another thing that helped was I took some cheap lace I had and put it on top of the tulle to see the overall vision and detail.
Finally, I had to send in my measurements. I wore tight leggings, a bra, and then some nude colored shapewear around my waist.
The guide is very helpful! Now they are actually helping to send you mock garments beforehand to even improve their fit. I just did all my measurements three times, and really took our time. I also personally just chose the tightest measurement I could get because I had been losing weight, and that worked out great!
Finally, after submitting all this on April 4, I got my final design summary on April 10. I had to look over everything and double check it before it was sent off. My dress was scheduled to be to me by late August for my November wedding.
Look for my next post to see the final product and get my overall thoughts!
