Anomalie Experience - Part 4

Julie, on March 9, 2020 at 7:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 1 4
I have now moved into the design phase! In this phase they would finalize the sketch of my dress and make updates until I was ready to approve it! Then I would receive fabric samples, approve my fabrics, and send in my measurements!

To work through this phase, my stylist would text me. It made the process quick and accessible. 6 days later I received my sketch back!Anomalie Experience - Part 4 1

I immediately had a few changes to make. My stylist was incredibly helpful in answering all of my questions quickly and helping talk to me about what may look best. I asked her to:- Make the train a chapel length (which added $25)- Make the neckline a bit lower- Make the neckline a bit more sweetheart shaped- Make the unlined illusion in the back wrap around a bit to the front of the dress
Here are my sketches before those changes!Anomalie Experience - Part 4 2

4 to 5 days later, she sent me a few updates on the back of the dress. She explained how bustles work (even though they do not do bustles and you need to have them done in alterations) and we entertained the idea of buttons going down to their flair point.Anomalie Experience - Part 4 4
After this I decided I didn't want to buttons going that low, and that I wanted to skirt to be lined more so it didn't get caught in something and dirty at my outdoor venue. Here is the update:Anomalie Experience - Part 4 5
I should be receiving another full sketch of my dress soon with all the updates!

This is super interesting! I am having the worst time trying to find something that I like. I feel like there is always something not right about every dress I see.

    I'm following along, but can't find part 2? I found 1, 3, and 4.

That's exactly how I felt! With part 2, whenever I try to click on it, and unavailable screen pops up, so I'll have to try and retype it tonight. I actually received my box of fabric samples today as well and was going to make a post about that, but Wedding Wire said I can only make so many new discussions within a time frame 😅

I'm glad you want to follow along. So far my experience had been great, but clearly the finished product will be the most exciting part! When I went into the process I felt like I couldn't find much real feedback about it. I only saw complaints from people (who's sketches I personally didn't like in the first place) or gorgeous photos from Anomalie. So I wanted to post my experience in case there is someone out there like me who would have wanted more information!
