Yes, agreed about wanting to see photos when it's finished! It looks gorgeous already! I haven't done much research into Anomalie, but I've seen a lot of posts here about them. Do you think that their pricing is fair? Is it comparable to your other dress shopping experiences?

I was having a hard time finding anything I loved and anything close was in the 3k range, out of the budget.

They are custom making this with my favorite details for about $1,600. That includes the dress and the overskirt, with lace/applique on both and pockets in both.

Can't beat it. As a bonus, they are super sweet and helpful.

I am using anomalie. I am about to pay my deposit! I haven’t even dress shopped at all so I’m a little nervous but I’ve known what I wanted since I was little and the dress type I want usually retails at 20-30k. Anomalie is going to make it for 1750. My stylist so far has been amazing. I enjoyed my phone consultation and she’s been super responsive to emails. I think I’ve made the right decision using anomalie. Your dress is gorgeous. I love hearing other positive vibes about it because it makes me less nervous!

Hey everyone. This is my finished dress. Anomalie said they didn’t have time to do the ombré look but I got it back to me a month earlier than they quoted me (early December instead of January) which allowed me time to find a local dye company who completed the ombré for me.

Overall working with Anonalie was efficient and effortless. It was a bit nerve wracking because there was not any communication after I sent the payment until the dress was being sent to me. It turned out exactly as I envisioned and the quality was just as if I bought it from the store. I even took it to be tailored (I didn’t tell them where I bought the dress at first) and they were blown away with the quality. He said the dress I had and the appliqué on it would easily cost new 3x what I actually paid.

The downside - I did have to get the dress tailored. Anomalie does send you a sheet with all the specific measurements that you need but I went to several bridal stores and they refused to do the detailed measurements for me. They all basically said the same thing “we don’t support Chinese businesses and they are the only ones who would ask for these measurements. Once you get it back you will have to pay us to fix it. Just buy from us.” That part was frustrating. I had a friend help me with the measurements. The directions are helpful and we got through it alright.

I will say, since you order your dress so much in advance, even with doing exact measurements, you will probably need to get your dress tailored between margin of error and/or weight fluctuation. At least that was my experience.

Anomalie was up front with this and did say that they would help with recommending a tailor in your/my area. They did also say that pricing for alterations typically run about 1-2k. Mine was about 1.5k, doubling the cost of my dress. Keep that in mind while ordering. Also keep in mind alterations take about 1-2 months and Anomalie needs orders placed 6 months prior to when you need it. You will need to order way in advance to plan for this.
