Announcing Elopement?

In May,we are going up to Gatlinburg and getting married in one of the quaint wedding chapels. I have been married more than once before and my fiance has never been married. Neither one of us want a regular wedding, with attendees or guests. I am considering sending announcements after we return from our honeymoon. I don't know what is customary with an elopement. Can anyone help me?

You can send out announcements or not. There's really no rules when it comes to an elopement!

My coworker said she just a postcard once that said "we took the plunge" with a picture of people jumping into water with exposed butts. I thought it was funny. She wonders if it was actually their butts.
