Announcement for Vietnamese Ceremony

nickandkim, on March 28, 2010 at 9:07 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

I really need help/examples for the wording for the Dam

Cuoi (Vietnamese Wedding) announcement. I guess this type of thing is usually announced word of mouth but I would prefer to have it in my wedding invitation.

This is one of the last little details before I get all the parts for the invitation printed.

Any ideas are welcome!!!

    Hi there,

Are you needing help with the wording itself? I am not sure what you have in mind but I may be able to help--I'm VN and is also planning for the big day.

Yes, I am having trouble with the wording itself. I am not entirely sure what to put so I am open to suggestions.

Sorry I don't have the VN font software so let me do it this way...let me know if you need more help--

The first top of the invitation will usually have the names of the parents from both side then the next section is the announcement of the marriage wording, i.e.

    Tra^n tro.ng ba'o tin Le^~ Tha`nh Ho^n va` Le^~ Vu Quy cu?a con chu'ng to^i.

This roughly translate to: have the honour of announcing the marriage of our children.

Then the name of the groom and bride is display right below it.
