I just need to rant. Got engaged June 2019 started looking for wedding photographers around December. My dad recommend a buddy whose done weddings for years. Reached out in January was ignored. February again and was told yes, perfect engagement photos in the spring well get a contract over. nothing. May comes and was told I would get a contract and photos set to do end of June. 2 weeks before photos asked for contract AGAIN was told he's going on vacation and to do them July 11th. No contract still. July 11th he sends my the contract like an hour before photos so i didn't get time to look it over and send it back so i gave him my deposit at the park. Was told we would get photos in 4 weeks.
6 weeks go by and I reach out just want a fine time of when ill get them.. 2 days turned into 3 weeks. I would ask and was told a day and the day past and I would asked the next. BEEN PRETTY CALM! Finally told my dad and he asked him what's going on and if he's wanting to do my wedding or not. That day bam photos! Good right?
I decided because of this issue I am keeping the contract till I decide what I'm going to do. I talked to another mutual friend and they told me he backed out of their wedding last year 2 weeks before the wedding and that I shouldn't have hired them.... I'm sorry what!!!!
Now I'm pissed because I'm waiting to till him the deal after I find a replacement.... I am now 8 months out from my wedding and have contacted 9 photographers ALL BOOKED......
Can I just say how angry I am. Im happy that its now and not 2 weeks but im angry because ive had 2 years of planning and could have found someone else.
I deserve better for my big day and now im dealing with this BS...
