We need some help on finding attire. For reference, my friend’s daily wardrobe consists of tailored suit jackets, slimcut trousers, and asymmetrical skirts. Their general fashion style is best described as “Asian boyband punk”.
They are ok with leaning fem for my wedding (so my older relatives don’t lose their minds and because my friend isn’t a big fan of full suits anyway). In our research, we both kept coming back to a specific Caroline Herrera dress (out of budget but good ref):

As two cosplay nerds with decently advanced sewing knowledge, our current backup plan is to take a pattern from a favorite tailored shirt as bodice base. We have a ton of skirt patterns between us and our friends to research or we can probably draft one. However, this is very time/resource consuming so we’re hoping someone can point us in the direction of shops with similar styles but more affordable prices (the CH one is $4k…which is more $$$ than my dress). My friend likes blacks, blues, navys for color but we have room for reds and burgundies.
