An alternative to renting china...

orchid21, on January 30, 2010 at 5:49 AM Posted in Planning 0 1

At first, I planned on renting china and using plastic plates for dessert later but now I'm thinking about using this environmentally friendly dinnerware I found today:

What do you guys think? I don't know if I'll like it yet, but I ordered one of their sample packs to see if it could work.

Just thought I'd pass along the idea. Smiley smile

Wow... those look like they might work for us. We're hosting a potluck and our venue doesn't have a kitchen for us to use to rinse off rented china. FH is against using and throwing out disposables... so we'd considered using plasticware, then bringing it home to wash and reuse. I've not fully embraced that idea... I hate the thought of dealing with boxes of dirty dishes post wedding, or foisting it off on our friends.

    Composting might work, however. Thanks!
