I got my dress from Lulu's! I tried on 8 from Lulu's and 5 from David's Bridal. I was impressed with the quality of the Lulu's dresses and some were comparable to the dresses from DB. I would definitely recommend reading reviews before to figure out sizing and to see how they look in pictures from actual shoppers. There were a couple that fit a little funny on me but other than that the rest matched my regular street size. The dresses looked like the pictures on the site which is something I always worry about when waiting to get clothes from online. The only dress I tried on that I thought looked different in person compared to the Lulu's pictures was the dress I picked haha, but I knew that based off of the pictures in reviews so it was expected. Also, returning the dresses I didn't pick was easy, they have free returns for a certain amount of days which was a relief. And if you still want the bridal shop experience you can always invite people over when you try them on, I made it a small event at my mom's with cheese plates and champagne. Good luck!

Not for my "big" wedding, but we did a private civil ceremony about 2 months before the "big day" and I bought a Lulu's dress pre-owned off of Poshmark for that (the "Ocean of Elegance" dress). I had to have a seamstress shorten it a little and add a "modesty piece" between the cups bc I'm busty and it ended up being VERY revealing with the adhesive bra I was using. But with that little tweak it turned out great and cost me under $200 total after alterations! Still waiting for the pro pics from that day, but here's the dress on Lulu's website vs. after I altered it (screen shot from my photographer's Instagram was the best pic I could find, LOL sorry!)

I’ve purchased a bridesmaids dress on Amazon and it was really nice! My mom bought her mother of the bride dress on JJs house. The only thing that’s difficult about only shopping online is that you can’t try as many styles on. I’d suggest going in person and trying on different silhouettes to find what style you like, then ordering online.

I bought Lulus’ Awaken My Love dress for my upcoming rehearsal dinner (I had it shortened to knee-length though), and their Remarkable Lace Dress for my engagement photos. Highly recommend both, as they looked exactly as pictured and fit really well. They periodically have sales, so I was able to order both at about half off when dresses were on sale (sign up for emails to get sale alerts).

I bought a reception dress from Lulu's and the quality was great for a dress under $200. I say go for it. They have free returns within 14 days, so nothing to lose.

I would definitely stay away from amazon and shein. They are cheap and low quality, and you will for sure regret it once you get pictures back.

Yay, dress twins! :-) I had my seamstress leave a little length on the back when she shortened it to give me a bit of a "train," but your custom detachable train sounds so much cooler! It was a super comfortable dress to wear all day, too - you definitely won't regret your choice. I keep thinking of possible excuses to wear it again someday, haha.

You could always get the little train you left on hemmed off and wear It for anniversary celebrations!

That's beautiful!! You must be so excited. I loved how lightweight it was too, our courthouse appt was on Sept. 23 and in Chicago you never know if that's going to be 90 degrees or 50, LOL. So I had a leather jacket ready to layer over it but knew I'd also be fine if it was hot out. It ended up being pretty cool, 60s I think, but I was good with the jacket! It's a very flexible dress.

Check out Azazie. I've been doing the try at home program and I love the process. The dresses are around $200-$500. The quality of the sample dresses have been great!

I fell in love with this lace from a veil she made and inquired about turning It into a train. She gave me a couple mock up designs and I chose the preferred. She loved It so much I believe she’s added It to her regular inventory now 😊 Highly recommend getting the tulle samples if interested. She has so many and I was able to match It perfectly to my dress

I BOUGHT MY DRESS TODAY!

I went with my MOH to Davids Bridal today to try on styles. My intention was to find a style I like and order from An alternative website. I just Well…..I tried on the dress and it was absolutely perfect and guess what It was in clearance and the only size left was the one I needed! I am extremely happy.
