Am i Ruining My Dress?

Okay ladies. I got my dress from Torrid, and it was so pretty, and so light, but the more I tried it on, the more little details bugged me, and I wanted to change it. (Also, I kept looking at other dresses, and that was a mistake.) I decided to make some changes to my dress. I still have time to get another one if this is an epic fail, but I think it's working out? I've just completely lost the ability to judge. I was always going to add a sparkly applique. Now I'm adding beaded lace to the hem, cuffs, and neck. I'm doing it myself and the cuffs are the only thing complete. I'm using two different lace trims layered together and I'm waiting on more yardage of the smaller one to come in. But can I get some honest feedback on what I have so far?
