Am i getting over-charged for flowers?

I was shocked at the estimated cost of the flowers! The bouquets and boutonnières will cost me about 300. The ceremony and reception is about 700-900 but I do want an arch, with mostly greens. I’ve had to adjust my flower choices to reduce the cost. I really wanted calla lilies, but way out of budget since they do not grow where we are getting married. Flowers are expensive, but then add wedding to it and it becomes kinda crazy!

That sounds like a decent price from a florist from what I seen. If you wanna go cheaper you could look into sams club or Costco

Location plays a big factor, but that would be inexpensive in my moderate cost of living area.

The only way to know what is a "reasonable" price in your area is to get a few quotes and compare. Like most vendors, florist prices are highly regional.

If anything, it sounds like your florist is cutting you a major deal and you’re being undercharged! If you like their work, I would definitely move forward with this florist and take advantage of this quote

That sounds like a really good price to me. But it all depends on where you are located. We had flower quotes anywhere from $1000-$3000 for fairly minimal florals.

Is the bouquet just your bridal bouquet or all the wedding party together? The reception price seems normal to me but your bouquet price seems high if its just for one plus the boutonniere. We paid only $400 total for six bouquets (including my bridal one) and some flowers that they put on the ceremony chairs

There are many factors that go into pricing even if everything is in season. It is largely dependent on where you are located as higher cost of living areas charge more for anything. Have you gotten quotes from other florists for the same flowers? If so, are they in the same price range?

Very beautiful flowers! Unfortunately, i don't think you're being overcharged. Wedding flowers are so expensive And whenever you say the word "wedding", you get up-charged. It's ridiculous for sure! Pricing varies with so many factors, time of years, particular flowers, location, etc. You can try getting quotes from other florists to see how they compare? You can also look at some alternatives..maybe wood flowers or fake flowers? Another option is to diy some of the flowers. You can buy in bulk and try to make the centerpieces or boutonnieres yourself. Also check out Sam's Club, Costco or other wholesalers. They have some great prices!
