I'm doing a flower ceremony with flowers that are meaningful to love and unity. I am having my parents and my FH parents have one of the flowers to put in the vase and then the officiant is going to wrap ivy around it to show the joining of 2 families becoming one. 2 people who love each other and want to make these families and each other's lives one.

People do all kinds of things now - combine sand, wine, craft beer, shots. Not all together, lol.

Do you really want to do a unity ceremony? Because if you don't want to, or nothing appeals to you, you absolutely don't have to have one. Maybe there's something else that you could do instead if that's the case (not saying it is). I did some research into wedding traditions and found ring warming. It felt very meaningful to me to have our friends and family pray over or warm our rings.

We are doing a wine ceremony. Two little carafes, one with white wine, one with red. We will combine the two into an engraved wine cup and both drink from it.

Officianteric.com had some great ideas on sayings to choose from.

Unity in a glass. We decided on doing it once it came across my Facebook page and we looked into it. It also has great reviews.
