Alternatives to flowers

I love the candles idea!

I'm not carrying anything. Maybe that tradition came because sometimes people don't know what to do with their hands, but to me, its just one more thing to deal with lol.

You could do a broach bouquet- see examples in link below and a bunch of other options.

Carry a fancy lantern of some sort, lollipops (really big flat old school ones), anything that fits your theme that isn't floral, butterflies, balls of yarn if you are crafty, or just ya know don't carry anything if it's not your thing!

My fiancée is very allergic to all plant life, so we're also thinking outside the box. I'm considering carrying a single candle. I'm also DIY'ing some paper flowers for boutonnieres, and to incorporate in other decor. Her bouquet will be entirely paper flowers.

You could also consider an all-greenery bouquet!
