Alternatives to flowers for flower girl?

We are not having kiddos in/at the wedding, but we are having some ladies who we consider grandmas to us be our flower girls. I'm not sure about flower petals though seeing as we aren't really doing flowers with elsewhere We are contemplating SOME greenery for decor-still in discussion. What are some alternatives that they can use in lieu of flowers? We can't have bubbles unfortunately.

If your venue is outside you could use leaf confetti (take a hole punch to some leaves). It could be funny if they gave out candy while going down the aisle, but I know not everyone is looking for something funny.

It is an indoor venue, but we could still do leaves...my fiance suggested getting a flower shaped hole punch and make paper petals. Although I do like candy...

I've seen people pass out beers to some in the crowds. Could have them do packs of tissues, drinks. As long as the venue doesn't care, you can still do flower petals even if you don't have flowers in the wedding. No one will notice. They could toss some Mardi Gras beads 😂

FH and I are having our “flower maid” carry a sign instead of tossing anything! Ours is going to tie into our theme, but there are all kinds of options on Etsy ranging from classic (here comes the bride”) to funny (“I’m just here for the cake”) and then customized ones with whatever saying you want.
