Alternatives for Flower Girl!!!

Mrs.Love, on March 28, 2017 at 9:10 AM Posted in Planning 0 27

Good morning Ladies! My venue does not allow tossed flower petals (real or fake) so I am looking for alternatives. My diva 6 year old will be our flower girl and so far she has tossed out ribbon wands, signs and she's on the fence about bubbles. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Just because she cute I've attached a picture of her!

Flower shaped chocolate? That's a strange rule.

I'm guessing if they don't allow the flower petals that rainbow sprinkles are out of the question? Lol.

She could hold an arrangement similar to your BM but smaller. Or something like this ..

Maybe she could carry a basket of flowers that can't be tossed? She'd still look adorable walking down the aisle!

@Leah, we thought so at first as well. But it's a state park so they don't want wildlife trying to eat anything and they don't want cross pollination between flowers they have and what we bring in. But chocolate, yummm!!!

@Stephanie, lol nope, no confetti either.

@Cann, I didn't even think of that! Have have to look into those.

@Baletica, thanks. She knows it too! Lol!

@Jennifer, she wasn't keen on that idea either!

If it's a park would you be allowed to toss an approved brand of bird seed?

My venue is the same way! I am planning on having my flower girls carry a small bouquet of loose flowers for them to hand out to the people on the end of the pews.

So cute!!!! What does she prefer? I think bubbles would be really cute. You can get those bubble guns and decorate so she wouldn't have to try to dip a wand while walking.

I like @TeamGrz idea. I have the same limitation at our church.

Flower ball! I don't know if that is the correct term for those, but my niece will be carrying a flower ball.

ETA: it is a flower pomander.

So cute. We are having our flower girl just carry a basket of flowers.

She's on the fence with the bubbles, but I'll find a cute bubble gun we can decorate and have her try and I'll also talk to her about just passing them out. I think she'll really like that idea.

Mine are passing out long stemmed roses. We are having the moms/aunts/grandmother's sit in the front and they will hand the roses to them

Cute flower girl, she can carry a silk pomander, ring a bell and say in her outside voice the bride is coming as she walks down the aisle, or carry a cute sign stating the bride is coming.

We're in the same boat. Our ring bearer and flowergirl kinda got their duties shot down since our officiant refuses to do a ring exchange and our venue doesn't allow flowers. We'll just have them walk down with a sign that has some cheesey saying like, "here comes the bride"

    Your flower girl is adorable!

My friend had her niece shoot a bubble gun (it was spray painted gold to go with her wedding colors) so bibles were floating in the air instead of flowers on the ground.

You could also have the flower girl walk down with a "Here comes the bride" sign.
