Alternative to flowers

Brittany, on January 10, 2020 at 3:58 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 18

So we are not totally convinced that we want flowers for our centerpieces. We have a glam/bling theme going with pearls and gems, with silver and glitter. I have square mirrors about 9x9 and plan to have a glass cylinder vase on top with pearl and gem scatter filling the vase. What can we use to stick in the vase besides flowers? What were your flower alternatives? I considered a cupcake bouquet, but who has time for that right before they walk down the aisel?

You could just do branches. You could even get the sparkley kind like this

Feathers sound like they would vibe well with your glitz and glam vision!

You could fill vases/containers with beads/pearls and put lights. I opted for not having flowers and that saved a lot of time.

Peacock feathers, candle chandeliers with pearls hanging, etc. No flowers, no problem. Succulents and they can also be a favor.

What did you, or will you use for your centerpieces? I thought about possibly using feathers. I went to Michaels and it was $12 for one feather!! So i'll have to check online

I like the white branches. I just don't want it to be to plain.

We put the gel water beads with some pretty colored plastic rock pieces. Nothing on top and the vase sat on a circular mirror.

Not my picture, but I did something very similar w/out flowers or candles. Also used a waterproof led light inside.

I’d recommend searching “Ostrich feathers” on Amazon if you want to go the feather route. They’re going to be bigger and more elegant

I like the idea of succulents and they have wholesale vendors online that sell them in bulk cheaper.

Oh and succulents don't die fast so you can get them days ahead and decorate them if you choose to.

Mary How did you get the pearls to float? I tried this and they all sank to the bottom.

Succulents are cute, but don't really go with my glam theme. But thanks =)
