Alternative to bridesmaids luncheon??

Hannah, on January 27, 2014 at 8:00 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I know bridesmaids luncheons are traditional (especially in the south) and I appreciate the concept; however, I would say rather spend time with bridesmaids in a different way and spend less money. I would even like to do something with groomsmen maybe? I don't know, I just feel like with showers and such, I don't need another all women's event. Anyone have any alternative ideas??

Get the whole wedding party together to go out to a comedy club, and just hang out together in a casual setting. Go do paintball or laser tag together. Make it fun if the luncheon stuff isn't your thing.

How about just having the whole wedding party over for dinner? Have dinner and games and a low-key party for friends. Everyone gets to be involved, and if you set/cook the food, saves money too!

Yes, maybe do a big cookout when it warms up a bit if you have a grill and space? Or Ariel's dinner idea works too if you need to stay inside. Could do a full meal or even a bunch of different appetizers.

Personally I prefer something laid back and relaxed to a specific "Activity" but if you want one, bowling can always be fun. But even at a cookout you could have lawn games and things set up.
