Hey everyone! I live in the DC metro area and am trying to find a place for my alterations that isn’t insanely expensive. My dress does need a lot of work due to the number of layers of material so I know it will be somewhat pricey, but I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a high quality lesser known seamstress in the area?

Not from the area but do you have any friends that have recently married? The boutique where I bought my dress had a list of seamstresses.

I did My's Bridalterations in Manassas, but that may be farther west than you want to go. She did a great job on my dress, and I thought the price was reasonable.

Tang's, also in Manassas. They came high recommended by a friend and I've been extremely happy with the work that was done on my dress and the price was much more reasonable than what I was quoted by places in DC.

Was just about to make the same recommendation! I actually have my final fitting with Tangs this Friday but they’ve been great to work with so far and have reasonable pricing.
