Has anyone gotten a dress one size too big? If so please drop before and after images! I got a dress a size too big and needs altered and i'm freaking out that it won't look right. I know that if I have a good Tailor that will never be the case.. but it's still heavy on my mind!

Most seamstresses can take a dress in no problem, especially if it's only one size. Don't stress!

A seamstress can take in a dress up to two sizes too big without it altering the look. You’re fine! 👍

My dress was 2 sizes too big in the waist/upper body area and then 3 sizes too big in the arms.

My seamstress pinned everything back on my first appointment and it looked 1000x better! I'll see what it looks like on Monday when I go in for my next fitting!

Don't worry Tayler, you will be gorgeous and your dress STUNNING, I bought my dress one size bigger because I'm not until, Feb. 2021, and I was afraid of gaining weight, so your alterations will take care of your dress, don't stress!!!

Rest assured- seamstresses often know what theyre doing. my sister in law bought a size 8 sample dress and had it altered to a size 0! it turned out perfectly ok and nobody could tell a difference.
