My dress was around 1500 with tax, and the alterations were another 500 or 600, which is admittedly more than I was expecting. But it's a super nice shop and she's doing more to make it form fitted than I was expecting, and it's going to look amazing. She recommended my first fitting around 12 weeks before the wedding.

I paid around $3k for my dress and alterations were $495. Started my fittings at the beginning of August for an October 6 wedding. I needed 7 or 8 fittings which isn’t the norm but I continued to lose weight from stress.

My dress was $1700 and alterations are going to be $450. I'm getting it hemmed, straps added, taken in a little in the bust, and bustled. I feel like the bulk of the money is going into hemming since it has like, 6 layers or so of skirt.

My dress was $1,400 and my alterations were $500. Each dress at the boutique had a cap of what amount they can’t go over and surely I reached my cap!
My alterations were: hem, bring in/tighten straps, sewn in cups, bring in waist and add boning and 9 point bustle.

    Dress : $1200

Alterations : $275 (cups sewn in, 6" removed from hem, 2 layers of crinoline removed, illusion fabric and appliques added and moved to the back, recovering buttons, restitching buttons, and 5 point bustle)

First fitting was July 5, second was July 23 and everything was perfect - so I picked it up then. Wedding is August 17!

My dress was $930 and my alterations were only $150. I had an illusion neckline/back removed, a corset added, and had the dress bustled. I had it done through the store where I bought my dress. I had two appointments.

I'm curious to how much it cost to have the cups sewn in? I'm considering to having them sewn into my dress
