Alterations Costs

Cat, on October 4, 2020 at 1:30 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I just purchased my dress at DB and am trying to get a rough idea of what the cost would be to hem it. It has a ruffly bottom so I’m afraid it will end up costing more than I had originally anticipated. Any help would be great! (Trying to minimize the shell shock of when I do start to get quotes 😂)

You would need to contact their department as we cannot answer that nor know their prices. You can always look around for other seamstress too.

I’m not familiar with their alterations prices but I went for my first fitting this week and it came up to 456$. And that price also included them reconstructing my veil to a two tier.

I would definitely ask them! My friend got married 2 weeks ago and wore that same dress ❤️

I had my dress altered at David’s Bridal. I didn’t need the dress hemmed. I added cups, a 6 point bustle, and had the sides (at the rib cage) taken in. My total cost with taxes was $204. Hemming your dress will depend on how much length is taken but I vaguely recall a sign in the fitting sign it averaged $100.

You look gorgeous in that gown!!
My alterations cost around $600, but that includes hemming, bustle, adding a modestly panel, and taking the dress in...my dress had lots of layers so that may have added to the cost.

Beautiful dress! Not sure on the cost but fingers crossed it won’t break the bank!
