Help! So I found my dream dress, it was buy off the rack so I got it for a great price; however it’s final sale and I’m thinking that alterations may compromise the look of the dress. Please see pictures... there is a cylinder pillow stuffed in my back which is why it looks fitted Alteration opinion - size 12 to 6 or 4?? 1

You would have to talk to a seamstress. That’s a lot of details on your dress to alter

Too big. The most you can realistically take a dress in without it being a complete reconstruction is 2 sizes (in your case a bridal 8). You've got 8 inches give or take to take in. The lace pattern would be hugely compromised. It's gorgeous on you, but I'd keep looking for sure.

Definitely talk to a seamstress so that you can make an informed decision.

It can be done, but it would be a lot of work and probably VERY expensive to do. I’d send the photos to a couple of local seamstresses to see what they think and if they’d be up for the task.
