Allergy friendly wedding cake? Good idea or not?

Myself and my immediate family all have Celiac Disease so no wheat for us- or my FH since we most definitely want to kiss the night away. We haven't started cake testing yet and there are very few shops that can make gluten free wedding cakes in the area. Is it acceptable to have two wedding cakes?...

We haven't started cake testing yet and there are very few shops that can make gluten free wedding cakes in the area. Is it acceptable to have two wedding cakes? One for those of us that can't have wheat and one that everyone else can eat? I'm just really nervous the options won't be as tasty as they could be. I don't want to disappoint any of the guests. Any help would be wonderful!

I am making my own egg free wedding cake (since no bakers will accommodate egg free and I'm using dummy layers).

For everyone else, I'm getting cupcakes from Sams. To me, this is better than sheet cakes so no one is spending time cutting and passing out cake.

My husband has Celiac disease. We had a small grooms cake that was gluten free for him, and a "regular" wedding cake for everyone else!

Absolutely have more than one if you want to. It is YOUR wedding, why should you not be able to have cake?

We have more than 1 person who is GF/Celiac and/or Vegan, so we are doing Vegan/GF cupcakes as well as regular, but the GF/Vegan have even more flavor than the regular ones!

I have a severe dairy allergy and found a local bakery that makes super yummy vegan/allergen free cupcakes. We have several guests with allergies as well so we ordered 100 mini cupcakes and then our caterer is making a dessert bar with "regular" choices for those who don't have allergies. We felt getting 2 cakes would cost us more in the long run.

I had a Celiac friendly cake and it was delicious. We also had pie as an option but all the GF/celiac people were praising us on the cake.

We don't have any type of intolerance and we are having three different small cakes. GF can be delicious but if you feel more comfortable having two then go for it. The more cake the merrier in my opinion.

More options, the better. We will have something GF and something low/no sugar (maybe just some fresh fruit options)

Unless you have severe allergies with the gluten, two cakes can be fine. My mother and one other member has severe celiac's disease so I do not want to risk my mother dying from my wedding day lol. All of our catering is GF and all dessert options will be GF. No guest will tell the difference. Our baker in Southern California has delicious GF cake options. Love it!
