All inclusive venues vs just paying for venue site

Janessa, on July 23, 2020 at 2:01 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Hi ladies I’m torn bewteen booking venues that are pricier about 5,000-7,000 but include chairs tables linens etc some
Include dj s but that’s also not including the price on food at least 130 pp. Or paying 1500 -2,000 for the venue only that doesn’t provide any chairs tables decor floral and caterers .. I know one is easier but as far as costs can anyone compare if it’s worth it ?

I think having a more inclusive venue is worth the extra money. Less stress is best!

If the venue is all inclusive for that cost AND for 130 guests, it would definitely be worth it. If you buy everything separately, you just might end up around the same price if not more and have to deal with multiple vendor payments.

Definitely, 100% go with the all inclusive venue! Even if you could get things slightly cheaper by getting them from all different vendors, it is not worth the headache! It is more time and energy trying to coordinate everyone, and the more vendors you have, the more chances you have of things going wrong. Your time energy and sanity is worth way more than the tiny amount you may possibly save by having every item provided by different vendors.

I think technically speaking you could get everything by yourself for cheaper but just for the sake of sanity and less stress I would just go with the all inclusive

I say go for all-inclusice. It's much easier only needing to bring in a couple of vendors than an entire wedding crew.

Pre-covid my venue was a DIY space. It was beautiful and historic, but they only had a small inventory of tables and we had to bring in everything else. It was doable, but so many decisions and coordination was needed. You also may find something cheap, but then labor costs (set up, delivery, take down) make it more expensive.

My new venue is all-inclusive and we're going to save money overall because everything is already there. That gives us the opportunity to have some things that we wouldn't have been able to have at the first venue.

We looked at both options and they ended up costing about the same once we crunched the numbers. I would choose the all inclusive because it is just much easier!

My venue is all inclusive and with all the other planning I have to do, decor, stationary, my personal life and career I couldn’t imagine having to hunt down, research and secure all those other vendors. It would be too many moving parts for me. You want as little stress possible when it comes to planning and your wedding day. I’d definitely choose the all inclusive.

I ended up bringing in all my vendors and I sometimes wish we went the all inclusive route. It's a lot more stressful trying to line up all your vendors lol.

Thanks ladies for all the insight . There’s so much that involves going into a wedding . There’s positives about being all inclusive but I wish you could customize more things on your own such as furniture and rentals and food . Oh well my hunt is still on and still undecided

It boils down to personal preference. With a venue only, you have more freedom to express you, which is what your wedding day should be. An all-inclusive venue may or may not be willing to budge on their offerings if you decide you don't want this or want to do that instead. They may include it anyway "because that's how things are done".

Where I live, all-inclusive is always cheaper. Once you price out renting the tables/chairs/linens/etc, plus hiring servers, and the fees for set/clean up, you realize you're spending just as much, if not more money. That and then you have to organize it...

However, it really depends on where you are. Your best bet is to grab a few quotes, or ask your friends who did the lower price venue route. Then you can compare for your region.
