Hello fellow brides to be! I just got engaged and am in the very early wedding planning stages. I've been browsing some venues and was wondering - have you found a big cost difference between all inclusive venues with in house catering over venues where you choose each vendor separately? Many of the venues I am liking are not all inclusive, so I'm wondering if everything else would add up very quickly, or if it could actually be a way to find some cost savings. Any information is helpful! Thank you!

I liked 2 different venues there was about a $2000 cost difference. The cheaper one only included 10 hours of hall rental, tables and chairs nothing else.
The more expensive one included up to 14 hours of access time, set up, take down, linens, chairs, doc, wedding planner, dj, cake, and center pieces.
To me it made a lot more sense to go with the all inclusive package. It is less headaches and it seemed to be more cost effective in my situation. I would go tour both and do a price comparison. If you see mine I figured it would cost $1000 for dj and probably $400-500 for cake. That made a $500 difference. For that it made sense to go with the all inclusive package. If it was going to cost significantly more then we may have done a diy package

We ended up doing a park ceremony ($500) and a reception at my church (free), trying to save money on a venue. Pretty sure we're going to be spending as much if not more than an all inclusive even though the venues are practically nothing.
