Searching for a venue has me flustered! Are venues that include all the things worth the price tag? Do you end up saving money by not shopping around, or is it merely a stress reducer? I just have so many burning questions! I really don't want to have to tour too many venues, and knowing the...

I just have so many burning questions! I really don't want to have to tour too many venues, and knowing the benefits of one or the other would be really beneficial. So thank you in advance for the help.

Daughter did a ton of research, then we visited eight venues covering a wide-range of options (Orange Cnty, CA). It was interesting because although they included different things and had different pricing strategies, when she did the math, the total cost of using any of the venues was within ~$1500 of each other. At that point, she picked the one she liked best (location, aesthetics, venue coordinator/staff, etc.) and it's a semi-inclusive (all furnishings, food, bar, etc., in a stunning location). We'll add on photographer, DJ, officiant, florist, etc. It was surprising how close the total costs were; made us think "wedding price fixing" is definitely a thing.... The limited number of outside services she'll need to coordinate was definitely a huge draw for semi-inclusive.

Our venue is mostly inclusive, and honestly...the possible added price was 100% worth the lack of stress. I honestly don't even think it ended up being that much more expensive than somewhere else that included less. I am a high anxiety and high stress person. We got engaged in May, booked the venue in June, and besides a few emails back and forth I've really not had to do much of anything. For the next 11 months I get to coast and enjoy engaged life!

I originally booked with a DIY wedding and it turned out to be the most stressful thing ever! I was to the point that I didn't even want to have a wedding anymore. After we started adding up all the costs it wasn't much cheaper than doing an all-inclusive. Not to mention our DIY wedding venue owner was absolutely terrible to work with. We ended up cancelling on the DIY and going to an all-inclusive. Let me tell you, I'm 100% stress free now.
