All inclusive packages or separate vendors??

Nicole, on February 7, 2020 at 11:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
Do you guys (from experience) find it cheaper to have an all inclusive wedding somewhere with packages or find separate vendors?? I’ve looked a couple packages and those prices are WOW. And I’m wondering if I could do it cheaper to find separate vendors and not have to use their vendors??

My bff has an inclusive package and hers seems a pretty decent price ! But generally you Might actually be able to find things cheaper when separate vendors. But inclusive packages help you save the effort and time

I honestly think it was about the same. But a lot more work to book them separately. I loved all my vendors so it was worth it to me.

I think it really depends on your area. We are near Cincinnati and it was significantly cheaper to find our own vendors.

We live in South Carolina and having a "blank slate" venue where we hire our own vendors has been much cheaper than any all-inclusive venue in our area.

I think it all depends on your location. I'm in Southern California and it was hard finding a venue for our price range either way. We toured a few places that we would have to book everything and they were gorgeous but just for the venue alone they were $10,000 and up which was ridiculous. We did find one that was only $2,000 and we really liked it but ultimately the location sucked. We ended up going with an all inclusive that only cost $8,000 and honestly with our 6 month timeline it took a lot of stress off the planning process. I think it's important to consider all the factors before automatically going with all inclusive or individual vendors.

Thank you for the input!! It’s appreciated, cause I’m new to all this. I live in Georgia and I’m not getting married till 2022 so I don’t think the extra work to find vendors would matter since I’ll have plenty of time to look around. I found a venue I love for $2,200 and I’ll have to find my own vendors. I don’t necessarily have a budget yet but I’m hoping to stay between $8,000-10,000. Some of these packages Ive looked at, at other venues, don’t give you any wiggle room for that. Most have been $****.

Our venue provides catering, up lighting, desserts, linens, and chiavari chairs with the highest package they offer which we chose and it really helped decrease a lot of wedding planning stress. We’re at $81.50/person which I think is reasonable for everything included in our package. It really depends on each venue though. But I like how we were able to go through outside vendors for other stuff because we obviously want to choose what suits us and our budget.
