Oh lord, my mom bought a dress from AliExpress and it has been a total nightmare. She ordered a woman's size 18 because she has a large bust and wanted my seamstress to tailor it (she is more like a size 12 but wanted it to be perfect). Well she ordered it in AUGUST of last year. It did not get here until October 5th and what arrived was NOTHING like what she thought she ordered. It is tagged as being a ladies size 16 and it might fit a 13 year old. It is straight fabric with no room for the bust or butt. Then, Ali would not authorize a return (they boasted hassle free returns on their site). So after a bunch of hassle, they said they would accept a return. It went into the mail on October 24th. By December, they had not refunded the money - they said they never received it. After months of battling with USPS and the credit card company my mom's Visa was finally credited. YESTERDAY, the SAME DRESS was returned to her in the mail as REFUSED by the shipper. I will never buy anything from them ever and my mother certainly won't either.

I bought a bunch of stuff on Ebay from China for my boudior shoot. It's all been fine, but it's not anything I need for my wedding.

I did order a bunch of lingerie from AliExpress, since it was listed as the exact same as yandy.com. all of it (13 total items) cost the same as 1 of the items from yandy. So, it won't be a total loss if there is an issue, at least, just one less outfit for my shoot

I think buying a dress online for a wedding is stupid in general wherever it's from. For supplies I say go for it. I ordered favour boxes and looking at table cloths from ali express. *I* made the mistake and ordered inserts instead of boxes. The package arrived on time though and the seller is fully refunding me, for *my* mistake but I had to ship it back. I put in the correct order now and I anticipate no issues. I wouldn't buy anything important that I would want to see first but favour boxes, photo booth props, silk flower petals and stuff of that nature I see no problem with.

I had a nightmare of a time with my dress order, it was incorrect and missing pieces etc. And it's a Disney Princess dress from Alfred Angelo. Things happen whether in store or online

I had originally purchased a shorter, stiffer tulle veil from etsy, but later decided I might like a long flowy veil instead. I didn't want to spend a lot on a second veil, so I bought one for $5 from aliexpress. It took a bit to receive (but that was expected) it showed up in perfect condition, the only downfall is that it's super long (3m) so I will have to trim it down a bit, but for $5 it was totally worth it.

I feel like stores like that are good for small purchases that, worst case scenario, you can eat the cost of and replace. I would never buy a wedding gown from there.

    NO NO NO.

I wish I could change the font size so I can make the NO bigger.

I purchase hair for my daughter from there and it was a nightmare. If they can't get something as simple as hair correct I wouldn't' trust them with a dress.

I purchase everything I can (wedding related and not) from Aliexpress. I have had very very few bad experiences.

Something like a wedding dress may be iffy, but there's nothing wrong with props, flowers...etc. Just like any other online shop always read the fine print.

I've purchased almost all of my wedding decorations and accessories from them their great! In my experience far more reliable than eBay. That being said you get what you pay for. Not sure if I'd buy a wedding dress or custom sized dress from the site. Their dispute process is amazingly simple. I've bought, string light, bridal belt, FH wedding band, lanterns, silk flower petals, wedding shoes to name a few I've ordered over 30 items through them for my wedding with only two issues, one I failed to look at the measurements and it ended up being the size of costume jewelry and the other was refunded. Without much stress on my part. I say do your research (measurements, colour, reviews ect) and you'll be fine.

I ordered paper lanterns, money clips and some jewelry from them and had no problems at all. I made sure to check the sellers' reviews first. I considered buying robes but did my research and decided against it. You just have to read the reviews. I'd never buy clothes though. I never buy clothes online period lol
