Alcohol/beer quantity

Mayra, on January 30, 2020 at 11:24 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
Hi. We booked a venue and they provide unlimited sodas, water and coffee. They do not serve alcohol, we can bring whatever alcohol we want and their bartender will serve and make drinks. We are having a reception for 200 people, kids included. I have no idea how much beer to purchase and also alcohol. I was thinking of having signature drinks and beer but FH thinks we should buy beer and different bottles of alcohol/juices and have the bartender offer what we have and make whatever drinks with it. I have no clue how much to buy. Has anyone had a similar situation? Thank you 😊

Offering 1-2 signature drinks, 2 beer options, & 2 wine options is the easiest option, while offering a good variety.

We actually are in the same boat. We ended up just buying our alcohol this weekend. We were going to do signature drinks but thought it would be just easier to get some mixers and alcohol. We have about 200 guests that will be drinking (that we assumed). We ended up buying 2 wines, 24 bottles of alcohol, and about 24 cases of 24 packs of beer (we didn't want to do kegs and we couldn't have glass bottles so we are doing aluminum.).

Omg thank you so much! This helps a lot! Our 200 will not all drink but we do have at least half that are drinkers
