We are doing bottles of cognac and wine that we are giving to each table in lieu of a bar.

a coworker once told me she gave everyone those single serving bottles of wine as a party favor and i thought that was pretty smart, since they can just drink it then and there too.

Our venue provides bottles & cans. I will say we hosted a retirement party for my stepdad and had two kegs, some people FOR SURE had no idea how to work them so they defaulted to cans and bottles. I prefer cans/bottles because you get way more options.

Cans and bottles definitely give you more options, but there are pluses to kegs too. Other than having the on-draft taste, you can

We are doing bottles on the table in lieu of an open bar (no lines!). We are doing tequila, vodka, cognac, and whiskey for hard alcohol and red (cab) and white (chardonnay) wine.

    Keg.
Well, short answer, that's what everybody else does around here. And it seems cheaper.

    A few other reasons:

*We dont have to worry about types of beer. Bride and groom don't drink beer. So the beer served will be the MOH's beer of choice. If you dont like Bud Light, you won't be drinking the beer.

*End of the night and we have an untapped keg, we return it.

We did bottles and cans for beer. Mostly for variety — we wanted to appeal to a wide arrange of tastes and have ~4 different options of beers , so that wouldnt have made sense for kegs (potential for a lot of wasted beer as it won’t keep like bottles will). And, we didn’t have a tap or cooling system for a keg, so that would’ve been a bigger headache. If we had a bar set up in the venue we could’ve utilized it would’ve been easier. But we had a makeshift bar and a cooler-system for the bartenders.

We're getting a keg. It just seems more efficient to have a keg delivered than have to haul a bunch of bottles or cans to the venue.

Cans. Gets a variety of beers. I like aluminum bottles but figure people will drink just as many so why not save and buy the cans.

Bottles/cans. Kegs are very wasteful. Whatever is not consumed must be poured out, but you generally still pay for it.

We're going to do two pony kegs, one bud and one bud light. We just figure it'll be easier that way. We're going to have a couple of bottles of champagne for toasts, and a couple of bottles of liquor for shots and mixed drinks. We're not going crazy
