Alcohol suggestions

EvansEternity, on September 6, 2019 at 10:01 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
I have 43 days before my wedding and we originally were going to have wine, beer and hard liquor. We’re paying for our wedding ourselves and still have a few things to pay off before October. My fiancé Godmom offered to pay for our wedding cake as a gift earlier this year but she had not done it. So we went ahead and took care of it. We would like to serve alcohol but we aren’t seeing how we can afford it at this point. I’m not much of a beer or wine drinker (fruity drinks is more my thing) and fiancé drinks socially.

Aside from beer beer and wine, what alcohol drinks can we serve? We can buy alcohol on the military base to save some money. I’m just not sure what to serve. Fiancé at first was wanting things like Ciroc, Hennessy, Crown Royal, etc. I’m sure we can scale it down, right, lol? I was thinking of buying alcohol for the bartender to make the most popular drinks.

I would just have one or 2 specialty drinks in addition to the beer and wine.

I'd say go with things that make the most popular drinks, rum for rum and coke, vodka, and some whiskey. Those three cam be mixed into a lot of different drinks. We're paying for our own too, and that's what we're doing.

I would do beer, one red, one white wine, and then maybe those White Claw or equivalent mixed drinks that come already mixed and in cans. Or pre-mixed margaritas, something like that - something you personally like and will drink.

You'll save a lot not buying mixers and ice for drinks and so many cups, etc if you just buy everything premade and can put cans/bottles into a big cooler/ice bucket.

A lot of weddings have beer and wine only, so adding a cocktail or two is nice, but you don’t need to go crazy if it’s not in the budget. Maybe a rum or vodka cocktail as brides choice and a whiskey ginger or whiskey coke for the grooms choice? Buy the liquor at Costco, it’s quite reasonable and great quality.
