Alcohol Selection

Taneshia, on February 26, 2020 at 3:46 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10

Hey,

I am preparing my alcohol list and am unsure of what to purchase. I have gotten FH preferences for browns. He isn't a big clear liquor drinker so I need help deciding. Could some of you ladies help by letting me know what you will provide your guests? I am not a big drinker so I need a bit of direction.

Thanks a bunch!!

I think the most common hard alcohol served at weddings are whiskey, tequila and vodka. Scotch, rum & gin are sometimes served, but not as often. You can make quite a few drinks with the first 3. We had all 6 at ours because we had a heavy drinking crowd.

I agree with MrsD. Vodka and Whiskey are always a hit.

The vast majority of our crowd drinks beer so we're buying a ton of that. We'll do a house red/white wine and then three signature drinks to choose from. Jack and coke, sparkling rose vodka, and French 75 (because I like gin). If you're sticking to two liquor options, I'd definitely go with whiskey and vodka.

We had red and white wine along with 2 mixed drinks. Bahama Mama (rum) and Cucumber Lime refresher (Vodka)

We're doing mostly ciders and beers and probably one white wine and one red wine for dinner and reception. For cocktail hour we're looking at doing two signature cocktails and my FH's will likely be whiskey based and mine is going to be vodka based

We’re doing beer and wine but for liquor I’d definitely get at least one of each: vodka, tequila, whiskey and rum.

Thank you Meghan. I was thinking 3 different Vodkas and 3 different Whiskeys. After reading the comments I will add a Tequila and a rum.
