alcohol insurance

Brittany, on September 6, 2021 at 5:24 PM Posted in Planning 0 3
Hey ladies! So my vendor had informed me that if I want to have alcohol at my wedding, I need to purchase my own alcohol insurance. I should note that I am only having wine and beer...no hard liquor. So can anyone recommend an insurance company that provides this? Preferably in South Carolina but any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

I have never heard of that but I'm in Texas. I would definitely read up on your state's alcohol laws. Are they more strict than neighboring states?

It's the venues requirement in order for me to have alcohol at the reception. If I was to decide to have liquor, I would have to have alcohol insurance and a licensed bartender. But I think I found an insurance agency that does alcohol liability insurance. Fingers crossed! 🤞

I didn’t use them but wedsure and wedsafe are two popular wedding insurance companies that may offer something just for alcohol? For us, the insurance came through our bartenders . It was charged as a set fee per guest. A couple bucks if we were serving just beer and wine, a couple more bucks each if we included liquor
