Alcohol Calculator

Autumn, on February 5, 2019 at 6:55 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
How is everyone calculating the amount of alochol they need? What if I don’t know if they would prefer wine, beer or mixed drinks?
Any past brides ever run out of a certain alochol?

We had signature cocktials during cocktail hr, then beer and wine. (Plus a Champaign toast)
I budgeted for 2 drinks during cocktail at and 1 drink per hr after that (not including the toast). We still have SO much alcohol left and we got married almost 3 weeks ago. I assumed half would drink beer and half would drink wine. (We ran out of cocktails, I thought we’d have these left over). I went though my list and guessed which I thought they’d prefer if I wasn’t sure. I’d say always round up to make sure you don’t run out.

Did you have any liquor? Or just beer and wine?
Most people that I’ve talked to have said that people will choose liquor over beer and wine at wedding and that they end up with tons of beer left.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I think you need to have a good think about your crowd and what they like. For example, our crowd aren’t wine drinkers so we will have less wine than spirits etc.
im going to do a mix of beer, wine, cider, moscato, vodka lemon lime, rum and coke, and our signature cocktail will be a Mai Tai Smiley smile we got engaged in Hawaii so future MIL wants to do mai tais

Hey Autumn! Are you planning to have a full open bar or just some signature drinks? I know that most guides recommend calculating alcohol based on each guest having 3-4 drinks!

We have about 100 drinkers and i keep thinking that more would prefer beer over wine but reading this makes me think to go lighter on the beer and add in more liquor/wine...
