Alcohol calculator - how much?

SL, on March 5, 2018 at 8:32 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Does anyone know of a good formula or website calculator for how much alcohol to provide? I understand that obviously I know my crowd best and it depends on how heavy drinkers they are and how long the reception will be etc... but just wondering if anyone has a 'golden rule' or formula for how much to provide.

It's looking like 110 people at the wedding. To give you an idea, this is how the day is planned :

2pm - welcome drink

3pm - ceremony & champagne toast

3:30-5:45 - games, cocktails, snacks, music, photos, etc

6pm - 4 course meal, speeches

9:30pm - music and dancing and drinks

No time limit on the evening but I'm assuming the late partyers will be there until at least 3am...

Smiley smile

Thanks!

No clue but the lay out sounds lovely! / two HR cocktail HR is a bit long. For my crew people would go so hard from 2-6pm that they would miss dinner. Maybe limit it to beer and wine before dinner?

Aw thanks! Yeah, you're right, beer and wine and whatever is left of the signature cocktail before dinner. Hard alcohol will be for after the dinner! And we have a lot planned for those two hours, hopefully guests won't get bored... we have lots of games, and even some small-sided sports competitions planned, entertainment etc... think afternoon garden party / county fair vibe! Fingers crossed it goes well.. will probably post in another forum for advice on this too lol Smiley smile
