Alcohol at Bridal Shower

I have seen some mention (on Pinterest and things) of people serving mimosas, champagne, or some sort of champagne/wine punch at a bridal shower. I, personally, have not been to many showers. I have seen some mention (on Pinterest and things) of people serving mimosas, champagne, or some sort of champagne/wine punch at a bridal shower. I, personally, have not been to many showers. And most of the ones I did attend, were in my childhood (so I wouldn't have noticed alcohol). I am hosting a shower for my best friend and have been going back and forth on whether to have it as an option for a beverage. Did you have alcohol served at your shower/showers you hosted?

    I haven't been to a bridal shower or have one yet, but I would definitely want some alcohol there! Champagne, mimosas, sangria - something light and fruity would be perfect.

    Do it. We had a mimosa bar and everyone was into it. Even gals I wouldn't have guessed to care for booze in the middle of the day. I had no idea it'd go over so well because I'm not a drinker but apparently people love any opportunity for a drink.

    My bridesmaids served prosecco, cider, tea, and infused water. It was kind of a lot great to have a glass of prosecco before diving into the awkward gift opening phase.

    We had wine and a spiked punch. I needed it, saying as our shower was hosted by H's family friends, most of whom I had never met before.

    When I cohosted a bridal shower, we set up a mimosa bar and all the bridesmaids brought a dish to eat as well. Turned out really well. Everyone had a lot of fun!

    My cousin hosted my shower at her house, and she had lots of bottles of wine for everyone. I know because I sure drank a lot of it lol :-)

    I wouldn't mind alcohol at my shower but the venue doesn't allow it for liability reasons (it's at our town hall)
