Aisle runners!

Carnysha, on November 7, 2019 at 5:48 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 12
I'm planning to have an outdoor ceremony and while I was on etsy I saw where you can customize your ailse runner. However, I had where people say to ditch the aisle runner completely when doing an outdoor wedding just because it causes people to trip. What do you all think?

We aren't doing an aisle runner. I don't particularly care for them and it seemed like a waste of money for something that people are literally just going to walk all over.

We are doing away with the aisle runner as well. It seems more people are not doing them as they are easy to trip over

Having an aisle runner out so I can get tricky. If you plan on using one, you’ll want to completely guarantee that the runner will be safely tacked down all over (for when the wind blows). The hard part about that, is that most outdoor locations are on the grass or concrete which makes securing an aisle runner difficult.

This is what I was thinking! Why pay for something for people to walk on?

A lot of the runners I saw online looked sorta cheap and reviews showed they will rip and may not be reusable.

I did see some 'red carpets' online that looked pretty cool and figured I might get more use out of them, but in the end I just decided to save the money. The way the chairs are placed, everyone will know where the aisle is.

Mine will be outside, too - no runner. I did see a wedding where there were just flower petals strewn about as the aisle. something to consider.

I say save the money and get something else for the aisle, maybe some petals to line it. I think they cause more hassle than they are worth, and def don’t want to risk anyone tripping!

I'd definitely be nervous about tripping over an aisle-runner!

I had an outdoor ceremony and ditched the aisle runner unintentionally because I didn't realize I needed something to go on it to keep it down

I got mine from Joanne's fabrics for $20.00 and threw it out afterwards
