Aisle Runner or No?

Bride107, on May 16, 2018 at 9:58 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 23

Hey,

I would like to get a vote, for this venue, aisle runner or no aisle runner?

I'm torn due to the lines and the cement of the terrace, will an aisle runner stay in place?

I do not want to get my heel stuck.

any suggestions?

thank you!

I personally like the look without the aisle runner better. Especially if you have a paper runner, your heels could still poke through the material. At least you'd be able to see the cracks in the ground if you don't have one. They're easier to avoid than it seems. Smiley smile

    Thanks,

I think having an aisle can make room for trips and slips with the heels. Not sure if I should line the aisle with flowers or candles. Smiley atonished

I also like the look without the aisle runner, pretty location! If you were to have one, in would go with something heavier like canvas so that you dont still have the cracks, but I think you'll be fine without the runner. Maybe do a few test walks down the aisle to make sure. Also, I would not recommend candles unless you do fake because I've been to too many weddings where they constantly are blown out, which show in pictures, or they keep getting knocked over either by guests or when people walk down the aisle.

Thank you! that makes sense, I will consider fake candles and will do a trial run with my wedding shoes.

I like the second look (no runner) better but to be fair, it's a better photo (crisper, brighter and closer to the bride and groom). I think that lining the aisle with candles or flowers would be a nice way to add additional definition without a trip hazard.

I had a runner (indoors over carpet) and did actually trip a little during the recessional because it wasn't taped down properly. I'd go without one with your venue to avoid tripping over it and because your venue makes it pretty clear where the aisle is. I'd do flowers to line your aisle as they'll be safer, but to me it looks like you don't need to line your aisle with anything. Your venue is gorgeous.

I like the look without one better. Our ceremony is on grass, and we aren't having one.

Either idea would be really pretty! You could even incorporate candles (or fake candles like Elizabeth mentioned), and then line the candles with flower petals. Up to you and what you think would work with your vision best. Your venue looks like it has a lot of room for design ideas. It's beautiful!

The lines look fine, and aisle runners are a HUGE hassle and tripping hazard. Definitely no runner!

Both images are lovely! I encourage you to speak with the venue to ask if they have suggestions. I'm sure they would be able to offer a perspective that can more directly address your concerns about the likelihood of an issue with your shoe. Best of luck!

I like it without a runner, but if you do choose to have one, I would choose something heavy like a persian carpet runner. You can buy them by the foot.

I also would likely stay away from flower petals lining the aisles. Even a slight roof top breeze and they will be all over the place.

It's looks really nice with it without, but if your concern of you possibly getting a heel stuck in one of the cracks then no runner.

Candles and flowers along side of the aisle would be nice if you plan on not having a runner.
