Has anyone ever used one from the 'regular' stores? Did it ball up on you?? My FMIL "warned" that the store ones can be thin & create chaos/sliding on the day of as the Wedding Party walks on it. Advice please?

If you've ever used one from a store please let me know how it worked out.

    Hey Katrya,

I used an aisle runner purchased at hobby lobby and personalized it myself. Super easy. My ushers had no problems unrolling it, perhaps that is because I had previously unrolled it to paint it. It didn't tear and neither was it slippery. In-fact after the ceremony I was able to cut out the personalized part and had it framed.

I'm so torn about this.... My wedding is next Saturday and I've yet to purchase my runner; they are so flimsy and I can't see myself paying $40 to only toss it after the ceremony! I'm thinking just have petals... But my flower girl is 3 I can see it now lol there will b about 5 petals on the floor!!!!
