Airing out your dress

My wedding is in 2.5 weeks and I am wondering how soon before the wedding should I take my dress out its bag to 'air out'. Did anyone just leave it in the bag until the day of? I don't want it to be wrinkled but I'm also being over protective of it.

    I have been in the dry leaning industry for 20 years. Airing it out won't do anything for the wrinkles. Go to a reputable dry cleaner and have them steam out. Might cost a bit around here Boston it's about $195. It also may take some time. We take 2 weeks and send to a wedding gown preservation company who only do wedding gowns. I do not suggest hanging in shower room and letting steam from shower try to get wrinkles out

    My dress is being steamed 2 weeks prior and I was told to leave it out of the bag to prevent any wrinkles.
