Airbrush Vs. Regular makeup??

Caitlin , on July 19, 2017 at 1:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

Hey ladies. I was so set on getting my wedding makeup airbrushed but I recently came across a makeup artist that I love who doesn't use airbrush makeup. I'm afraid regular makeup won't last as long. Anyone have any advice?

I actually hate airbrush makeup. I've gotten it twice before and it doesn't make a difference in lasting power for me. It sits on my skin and feels very tacky/sticky. Maybe do a trial with her in the morning and see how the makeup wears throughout the day!

I didn't like airbrush makeup either. I felt a bit orangey and made my lines and pores more noticeable. I prefer traditional. I heard airbrush is better for summer weddings if you're worried about the makeup sweating off.

I just had my trial with airbrush and I liked it, it stood up to sweat, but it felt really heavy. I guess that's normal? Lol. I'd give it a try at least!

So basically I shouldn't say no to the makeup artist I like just because she doesn't provide airbrush. Her work is amazing I was just worried about it not lasting as long. My wedding is in October so I don't have to worry about hot weather.

And I'm sure if you tell her that you want to make sure it stays and ask for tips (like how to make sure your skin is moist enough leading up to the wedding or oil blotting/powder a few times). Sometimes they'll give recommendations or make mini kits for you for the day of.

Date twin! I had the airbrushing done when I was a bridesmaid in my friends wedding- I loved it! I have a friend though that is a make-up artist, she doesn't do airbrushing either, but said that if you really know what you are doing, then they equal out. If you really like this makeup artist then you should go for it! But as someone said before, see what happens and how your skin holds the makeup after the trial.
