I'm having my make-up professionally done and she does the airbrush makeup. Apparently she is very good and has done the news anchors on our local news and Michelle Obamas when they were in Minneapolis! I have never had my make-up professionally done and have never known anyone who has had thier make-up airbrushed. Has anyone ever had this done or known someone who has, and how do you do touch ups during the night? I've seen her do it and it looks awsome but I'm worried about later in the evening. My make up will be done at about 8am, wedding is from noon-3 and reception from 5-midnight, I'd hate to have my make-up look bad by the time we get to the reception.

Her makeup slid off her face within the first 10 minutes of post ceremony photos outside. Airbrush wouldn't have made such a quick departure. So if you have a choice, I would go with Airbrushed makeup...it will definitely be worth it. Since you will be wanting your photos to look their best...Airbrush is the better choice. I hope this has been a little helpful from a photographer's perspective. Best of luck to you!

    Hi There,

You will not need to do touch-ups with the airbrush makeup. The only thing that you'll need is your lip color. Unlike traditional makeup, airbrush makeup is silicone-based. It sits on the skin as opposed to being absorbed by the skin. I always provide blotting tissue for my brides in case they get a bit shiny. I am in South Florida and it does get hot and humid. However, if you are in cool, dry weather, you'll be fine. Of course, still do a trial with the MUA. It's a good way to see if the person is a good match.

Good luck. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

I own an airbrush studio in Kirkland WA, I know that does not help you a lot...but I would definately spend the money to get a trial run so you can see for yourself that it lasts. I have had nothing but really great feedback from my brides and photographers. Anyone who wants to come try it in the Seattle area we do a Friday happy hour from 2-6pm and it is just $30 for a full make-up application

I had a bride wear airbrush makeup at a recent wedding I photographed and not only did she look flawless in photos, she looks perfect in person. Great coverage while still being natural Smiley smile

I have a makeup stuido, and I travel on-location. I've been doing airbrush makeup for over 7 years, and still highly recommend it. You can jump into a pool and still come out looking as fresh as when you applied it. Give me a shout if you're interested! We do hair too. Your one stop shop!
