Airbrush makeup

Kimberly, on April 3, 2021 at 12:20 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 5

Hi all! If you've had airbrush makeup...how does airbrush makeup hold up with wearing a mask? Does moisture/heat compromise it? Thanks!!!!

Your makeup artist should be using primer and setting spray to keep everything in place. On it's own, yes it will melt and run. With primer and setting spray it won't budge for 24 hrs even in heat.

You may have some transfer of the powders on top, but the foundation should be fine, if applied correctly.

As long as your airbrush makeup sets correctly - it won't budge!! 🌟

I've always been really impressed with how well my airbrush makeup has held up through heat, moisture, and despite touching my face!

Hi. So I do my own makeup but have had airbrush makeup done twice. You WILL have transfer. Airbrush makeup is also very dry. Typically when I do my own makeup I use translucent setting powder and Ben Nye setting spray (theatre makeup setting spray). I put a primer, then spray my face. After I apply my makeup on top of this I set my makeup again with powder and then spray it again. I also spray the setting spray directly to my liquid foundation before applying. This has done wonders for me as far as not having my makeup melt off my face, it holds up the majority of the entire day and I have less transfer. If you wanna go crazy and make sure you have no transfer (I don't recommend doing this often) you can use hairspray. I work in theatre and we use that for makeup sometimes so it won't transfer. Hope this helps.
